Meet our Ministry Team

Paul says in Romans 12: “Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” Every person that serves our church body is important, from our Pastor to our willing and kind-hearted volunteers. Here we've listed a few of those.

Pastor | Mike Metten

Pastor Mike is a West Michigan born & raised outdoorsman who has blessed Rejoice richly by joining our team in November of 2014.  Mike moved to LeMars with his wife Tricia, and five children after serving ten years in Youth Ministry and completing his Masters of Divinity degree from Western Theological Seminary. While serving as the Pastor of Rejoice; he most memorable moment was during COVID when the food ministry team helped provide meals for students in the community who needed meals at home.  "It was awesome to see the church come together with the community to put this together as we filled a need. It was the church being the hands and feet of Jesus." As the Pastor of Rejoice, he hopes that you will find we are a group of people that are open about our struggles, our hope, and our faith in Christ.

Administrator | Cathy DeBoer

Cathy, a long-time member of Rejoice, fulfills our administrator role at Rejoice with a grateful heart. Cathy and her husband, Todd, of 38+ years have blessed our community with two children and three grandchildren. One of Cathy's favorite outreach programs that has left a long-lasting impact on her is the Food Pantry.
